Hooked On Greens
Yes I am! Apparently I just love green eye shadow more than I thought I did- lol. Anyways, I used the I Dream Of Greenie palette from Wet 'N Wild. The brow bone color (which I refuse to use on my brow bone), I used over NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk in my inner corner. The eyelid color- which is the brightest green on the palette- on the eyelid and up to the brow bone.
I used the crease color (the dark one) in my crease. Whisper by Mark. as my highlight and a tiny bit of the crease color under my eye- I really mean a tiny bit! NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk in my water line, liquid liner, mascara- and ta-dah!!
Simple and easy- wore it to school with the nicest spring-y shirt ever lol. Till next time! =-)

Henna For Hair- The Wonders.
After I started doing henna on my hair- I got one of my best friends hooked on it too. This was the first time I did her hair with henna (the second time her hair got a bit darker and looked even better!) So, since I've got a blog post on henna- I won't go into too much detail. One thing I do have to explain here is that I mixed it differently. The other post I have up I had used a recipe that called for more things. This time- I just used yogurt. Yup- plain ol' unflavored yogurt and henna I purchased at a local Indian foods store. The outcome was fantastic!
First let me say, I mixed the yogurt with the henna until I got a thick consistency (like cake batter) and let it sit- completely covered since it cannot dry on you for any reason- for 24 hours before applying. Then, I applied it all over making sure you cover the hair entirely, not lightly. Do not be stingy- you want every hair covered and soaked. After, I wrapped her head in saran wrap and a shower cap over to make sure it didn't dry and so that the heat from her head helped the henna out too. After 3 1/2 hours- I had her rinse it out with conditioner only.

Freshly Cut Greens!
This is actually a blog post from last month that apparently I forgot to post. We had a dinner at my mother in laws to celebrate our wedding and this is the makeup I wore. I love it so much- in person I promise it looked much prettier.
It just depends on how you use Ghoul- it can be a very light yellow-green or a darker green over a foiling base. All in all- love this. Black liquid liner and black liner in my water line and it was done. Oh! Mascara of course. Till next time!
I used the lightest color in the Maybelline Green With Envy palette over NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk all over. Then I used the creamy tan-ish color on my lid. The darkest green in my crease, and then I used Ghoul from Detrivore Cosmetics from my crease up to my brow bone. Ghoul made this look awesome.
A Happy Pregnant Lady..
Spring Break was mostly posts I had put up from before that were scheduled to be posted so I am behind. For most of that week I spent it with my mom in the hospital so this week was insane! I had so much to catch up on for school and now- there's more. BUT- I am feeling very happy about my slowly growing belly. (Most days I just feel fat lol) I took this pic above to keep the memory of feeling pregnant and happy about it. Below is my latest sonogram. This boy is definitely getting huge. He's got a lot more meat on his bones now! Will definitely be updating the blog as usual. Hope everyone had a good weekend! =-)

Dagon & Omen Ft. Detrivore Cosmetics
Today I decided to match a purple shirt I was wearing. I used the Elf Eyelid Primer for the first time (I finally ran out of the Elf Mineral Primer) and over it I used NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk (also in my water line). The primer, btw, did good. I'm not disappointed so far.
I used the lightest color in the Green With Envy palette from Maybelline Studio shadows for the inner corner and highlight. After that I used Dagon from Detrivore all over the middle part of my lid up. Then I threw in some Omen from Detrivore on my outer "v" and a bit over Dagon in my crease.
I used all three colors under my eye with a slanted brush. Black liquid liner and mascara and I was done! I loved it! I got compliments from an employee at Best Buy lol- I got all excited. These colors are pretty bright over a white base as you can see. LOVE!! Till next time! =-)

Shimmery Blue W/A Cut Crease
This was done on the same night I did the other cut crease look on my blog. It was late!! I hadn't messed too much with blue shadows and so this was a perfect time to play makeup. I think more purple underneath would have looked better too. Or maybe a brighter purple?
I used NYX Jumbo Pencil all over and my Manly 120 palette for all the colors. I used the shimmery white on my lid, a very shimmery blue to cut the crease and fill it in, then a shimmery black color to define the crease some more.
This was fun. I hadn't done any looks with my crease cut higher in a long time and I loved the eyeshadow placement. I plan to keep trying this with other colors until I've perfected it. =-) Till next time!

Hidden Treasure
I've shown this before on my blog- but I did my nails with it again. I never got tired of this polish and I know Essie has a similar one out that I'm planning to get before this one runs out!! I used it over Sally Hanson Xtreme Wear in Black Out and with Sally Hanson Xtreme Wear in Invisible as my top coat. I hadn't finished cleaning up my edges but I took the pic to show a friend and decided to post it up. Why not- I love this polish!! I'm planning to try it over blue soon. I think it would look awesome!! Have you guys tried any of these awesome flaky polishes?

Late Night Play Time W/A Cut Crease
I stayed up super late due to an evening nap that left me so awake! I was on Youtube and feeling inspired by some of Queen Of Blending's looks. This is nothing like hers, obviously, but I got inspired to do a cut crease look.
I used my Manly 120 palette for all the colors you see here over lots of NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk. I used 3 different blues to achieve this. I just realized you can tell in my outer corner lol.
I'm going to use the excuse of poor lighting- because I literally had a lamp in my face! The green came out of no where- I just thought I'd give it some shimmer and a third color. Why not? I was trying to be creative- and I had a lot of fun. The yellow reminds me of bananas lol. I might do some more of these this week since I'm off for Spring Break. Till next time!

My Baby- A Pregnancy Blog. =)
16 Weeks
This is a very non-makeup blog post. I wasn't sure about uploading this, but why not? I'm so proud of being pregnant and I'm excited about sharing this little guy with you all. As of yesterday I am 18 weeks and this was my sonogram pic which was two weeks ago. I found out that day that not only was my baby a boy, but I got to see how much he's grown and it's amazing!!
His legs in this pic were crossed/folded so you can't see how long they are- but I can promise they are huge. I haven't gone on a baby clothes shopping day yet- but I've been eyeing baby clothes for the last few months. My husband refuses to buy anything unless I've checked reviews/recall reports on things. So I've just postponed it until I'm sure what I'm going to get. I'm dying to buy his first onesies!!
My pregnancy hasn't been that horrible to me. I did have morning sickness a couple of weeks but never threw-up. My hubby did on the other hand. Actually, he's had more cravings and symptoms than me!! Up until recently I started getting a little bit of acne which I'm so sad about because it was something I had struggled for years and it's back!! I've slowly been developing lower back pain and have had massive headaches here and there that have kept me up at night. My hair has also been falling out like there's no tomorrow- but amazingly has grown out twice as much. I have so much new growth! I'm considering letting my hair grow out to it's natural color for once just because I'm enjoying seeing how healthy my roots are. There's other symptoms I have had but nothing to discourage me.
What's exciting about all this so far- quickening! Two weeks ago I started feeling the tiniest thumps in my lower tummy and since I've been waiting for them to get stronger so I can share the joy with the family. My husband's put his ear on my tummy when it feels like the baby is moving around and he says he can hear it, so- I'm excited about that too! I'm anxiously awaiting the big baby bump.
I'll be having another doctor's visit next week as I have every three weeks. It always feels like an eternity waiting to see the baby. At the visit before this last one I got to see him in action. He was kicking up a storm!! I'll be posting those pics below so you can see where he went from getting ready to kick to kicking with all his might! =-)
About to kick...
13 Weeks
Kicking with both legs!
As you can see the difference in these pics- you couldn't see his spinal cord as you can the very first pic above where's he's grown so much. I hope you guys enjoyed the pics. I'm super proud of them!! Till next time! =-)

A Peach, Pink, W/Black Look
Hey everyone!! I'm posting this up and won't be giving an explanation as to how I did it- because there's a video!! This look was fun- and even though the black doesn't seem too blended- it did in person. I refused to use more black lol.
Today I am dedicating myself to reading a book I started yesterday- I plan to finish it today. I'm like that. If I like it, I can't put it down till I'm done. Oh, and I did my tutorial near a window which is the best source of light and so getting the angle was a bit hard.
Watch the tutorial if you're interested in seeing me do this look. BTW- I made it up as I went with the colors I have. Sometimes I've noticed after I do a look there will be someone who has a similar one somewhere on the net. If I was trying to recreate someone's look- I would definitely give credit!! Thanks for stopping by again! =)

I Was Feeling Retro Today! =)
Today I had no idea whether to skip doing my makeup or not... so I decided maybe it would cheer me up a bit to do something a bit colorful but not too bright for school. I'm a bit down lately and gosh- something had to bring me up!! So, I got my I'm Feeling Retro palette from Wet 'N Wild and used the pink on my lid over NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk.
Then all over but not on my brow bone. There I used the frosty white on the palette and then used the blue in my crease (which is the crease color in the palette). I actually got a compliment from a total stranger that it looked awesome. This was definitely a bit brighter than the pics- but not too bright. I loved it.
So, I've got a few looks coming up and hopefully I get to finish editing some videos already recorded soon. Till next time!! =-)

Detrivore Cosmetics Review
Ok so I promised a video...and that didn't happen. I'm honestly really sorry about that but my health in the last few days has been terrible!! Not to mention a busy schedule that just never allowed it. By the time I would get to wanting to, I either felt exhausted or the lighting was no good. SO here's my Detrivore Cosmetics review....
It was a quick video- mainly made to show the swatches. I have nothing bad to say about these shadows. Some shadows are more pigmented than others, but nothing that can't be fixed with a good base. Also, it you're going to light- some colors would work just fine and that's what I go for a lot of the time lately. It's quick and short- I actually might have up a few more videos this week. Let's hope so!

Blog Award Backlog
I am super, duper honored!! EyeGraffiti has given me the Blog Award Backlog which has made me feel so excited because I am now at 4 awards on my site which I never even dreamed of! All of the blogs I've come across are so awesome and everyone is so talented that I enjoy giving these awards out even more.
Here's the rules for the award:
1. Thank the person you received the award from.
2. Say seven random things about yourself.
3. Pass the award to 15 other bloggers.
OMG- 7 things about myself that I haven't said before.... that's a toughie!! =-)
1. I love having cereal for dinner...any kind! (and I prefer light soymilk over regular milk)
2. I used to collect pens when I was younger and had a ton of them!!
3. I love eating cucumbers alone or with lemon. It's my favorite fruit. (Actually lemons might be..)
4. I used to have perfect vision until I worked at a call center for 4 years...
5. I grew up being bilingual and so I consider both English and Spanish my native languages.
6. I love rock, country, classical, and almost any kind of music but opera MOVES me. (My soul that is.)
7. I worked as a cosmetologist for a few years and later decided to become a speech therapist (which I'm studying for now). It was fun and I miss it a bunch!! Still have my license and it's up to date because it became part of who I was and I refuse to lose it.
