Bright Greens W/A Touch of Bright Hues

My cousin Michelle came over yesterday and we played makeup! I haven't really done my own all week except for today but I've posted nothing but neutral looks so I didn't even bother taking pics lol. I decided to do something colorful on her since it was just for play- and I loved it! I did the eyebrows a bit dramatic- but I kind of was going for drama so it went well in my opinion.

How I achieved this- I used the 120 palette over ELF Eye Primer and NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk. I then went for a golden white color in her inner tear duct. Used 3 different yellows in her inner eye, used two different light greens in her middle eye, and used a dark matte green in her outer 'v'. Under neath I used a bright blue, a bright purple, and a neonish pink. Black eyeliner and mascara.

The other eye was a different look and therefore I left it for another blog post.  It's a very awesome dramatic look. So- watch out for it!! Till next time!! =-)

Busy Bee Yellow

I did my makeup in such a hurry this morning- I seriously thought about skipping it all together but refused to do that twice in a row. I started school yesterday and summer semester are hectic. I don't think my classes are hard- but they are time consuming to the max!

I actually should be doing my work as we speak but wanted to update the poor abandoned blog as quickly as possible. This look was done with Glamour Doll Eyes in Electric Lemonade (the yellow) over NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk. In my crease I used Glamour Doll Eyes in Dirty Jeans and right above that I used Detrivore Cosmetics in Treason (light peach- which in the pics can barely be seen). I just used a tiny bit of it to blend the blue into the highlight which was Whisper by Mark from Avon.

The black eyeliner is the gel liner in Ebony by Sonia Kashuk. I liked this look a lot- I got a pop of color without looking too overdone for school. Hopefully everyone is having a good Tuesday- I'm ready for lunch right after I'm done with my online class!! Till next time!

Beachy Hues

I did this look the other day and took pics without first blending out my eyebrows for some reason. (Weird I know!) I guess I forgot. Either way- I used some shadows I hadn't touched in a long time. Over my lid I used NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk and over that CoverGirl Eye Enhancers in Gold Sizzle. In my crease I used Avon iMark eyeshadow in South Beach.

My highlight and inner corner color was iMark shadow in Cloud 9. I feel like I haven't done anything too special. I've been sticking to shadows that I want to use up and get rid of!! I have been refusing to buy anything new for a long time now but I know eventually I will cave in. I've been strong for a while now.. lol- too long!

Either way- this look reminded me of the beach. I haven't been there in so long. I used to go swimming so much and then one day there was a couple who was fishing and they caught a stingray!! Not to mention there was baby sharks in the water swimming around us. I swore never to get in again and I haven't- but I do miss it so much. Anyone been to the beach this year yet?

Blue W/A Bit of Taupe

This was weird for me.  I was wearing khaki shorts and a blue shirt and wanted to somehow match my makeup. It's not bad, but not my favorite. I decided to share either way. The taupe on my lid was from the Mocha Latte palette from Avon.

The blue is from the Silver Starlet palette from Maybelline EyeStudio (the duos). The eyeliner, (which looks a lot cakier than I'd like) is the Wet 'N Wild Mega liner in Blue. The highlight was from the Mocha Latte palette as well. I really felt like it was a weird combination of colors on my eyes lol!

The mascara, well, another day of torture. I'm looking into Milani mascaras because my cousin recommended them. I just might pick one up this weekend... Till next time!!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all!  I know we all have very different religious views and some of us feel like its all about the Easter bunny, others about Jesus, and others just like spending time with the family. Whatever your views are about this day- I hope you had a great one!! On to the look! I have done this before- it's the Maybelline Spirited Seas palette but since I wore it today for Easter, I put it up- why not?

I used the Wet 'N Wild Mega Liner in Brown and my new mascara- which a review is coming up soon for... It's the L'Oreal Voluminous False Lashes Mascara in Extremely Black.  All of this over ELF Primer- no NYX this time! I was in somewhat of a hurry.

There are 4 colors in the palette- I used all except for the bronzy one. The highlight color on my brow bone, my inner lid and tear duct. Then the light blue in the middle of my lid and all over from crease to brow bone. Then the darkest blue in my outer corner, under, and in the crease alone. I love this palette! Till next time!!

Shimmery Blue W/A Cut Crease

This was done on the same night I did the other cut crease look on my blog. It was late!! I hadn't messed too much with blue shadows and so this was a perfect time to play makeup. I think more purple underneath would have looked better too. Or maybe a brighter purple?

I used NYX Jumbo Pencil all over and my Manly 120 palette for all the colors. I used the shimmery white on my lid, a very shimmery blue to cut the crease and fill it in, then a shimmery black color to define the crease some more.

This was fun. I hadn't done any looks with my crease cut higher in a long time and I loved the eyeshadow placement. I plan to keep trying this with other colors until I've perfected it. =-) Till next time!

Late Night Play Time W/A Cut Crease

I stayed up super late due to an evening nap that left me so awake! I was on Youtube and feeling inspired by some of Queen Of Blending's looks. This is nothing like hers, obviously, but I got inspired to do a cut crease look.

I used my Manly 120 palette for all the colors you see here over lots of NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk. I used 3 different blues to achieve this. I just realized you can tell in my outer corner lol.

I'm going to use the excuse of poor lighting- because I literally had a lamp in my face! The green came out of no where- I just thought I'd give it some shimmer and a third color. Why not? I was trying to be creative- and I had a lot of fun. The yellow reminds me of bananas lol. I might do some more of these this week since I'm off for Spring Break. Till next time!

I Was Feeling Retro Today! =)

Today I had no idea whether to skip doing my makeup or not... so I decided maybe it would cheer me up a bit to do something a bit colorful but not too bright for school. I'm a bit down lately and gosh- something had to bring me up!! So, I got my I'm Feeling Retro palette from Wet 'N Wild and used the pink on my lid over NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk.

Then all over but not on my brow bone. There I used the frosty white on the palette and then used the blue in my crease (which is the crease color in the palette). I actually got a compliment from a total stranger that it looked awesome. This was definitely a bit brighter than the pics- but not too bright. I loved it.

So, I've got a few looks coming up and hopefully I get to finish editing some videos already recorded soon. Till next time!! =-)

Glamour Doll Eyes in Dirty Jeans With A Touch of Bronze

I haven't done a look in a while with Glamour Doll Eyes in Dirty Jeans and I love pairing it with browns or bronze colors because this beautiful blue has a golden shimmer to it. I used a really pretty bronze color from a random palette in my crease and Wet 'N Wild Mega Liner in Brown.

I used used the liquid liner under my eye and tried blending a little bit of the shadow over it to soften it up. One tip to make Dirty Jeans really pop- use a mixing medium. Applied alone the color is shimmery but very translucent to my liking. I used it over LA Splash Splash Proof Sealer which makes the blue pop out and gives you even more shimmer all together.

I used Revlon ColorStay foundation in Nude on my face and for my lips I used NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm. Sorry about my lashes once again, for days they have been parting in the middle and I seriously don't know what to do to make them stop!! Hopefully this doesn't last forever... till next time! =-)

Memory Loss??? A Blue Experiment....

I did not pluck my eyebrows!! Terrible I know, but I had a rough week and last night was the worst. I'm not doing good health wise. =( But this I did a few days ago as a little experiment- how would a really bright color look in my crease? That was my challenge... lol.

I used a gold color on my lid from a random palette (don't remember which) and this really bright blue from the 120 palette (seems I've been using it more often lately) and a dark gold pigment right over (sorry don't remember which one it was either). Memory loss???

Either way, I liked it. It was different. Not the best in my humble opinion but it was a bright look- and I wore it to the movies that day. Probably one of the only days that was ok. On my lips I've got the Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait and no foundation- just L'Oreal Infallible Powder. It has pretty darn good coverage if you ask me! Hope I feel better soon-I'd love to get a tutorial out. =-) Laterz!!

HOT Pink!!

I took the pics long after I did the look so the blue under is a little faded.... sorry! But- I was very excited about this. I wore this out- in day light.... yup. I don't have a night life- plus I'm prego so that's out of the question. I wear my bright looks during the day, unless they are too extreme for Walmart. lol!

I used the Manly 120 palette for this look. The hot pink is my favorite color on the whole palette and probably the only reason I really wanted it. It has a very sheer, chalky consistency though. So, I load up on primers first. I used the ELF primer and then the NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk for better adhesion. It looks wonders- because the color turns out being brighter. I used a purple over and a tiny bit of black in my crease for some added definition to this neon looking craze. The blue- well, that is inspired by Abrilliantbrunette. She always loves using blue under her eyes for bright looks and it works!

The pink and purple look-well, they are my favorite colors for eye shadows, unfortunately I tend to stick to them too often. Plus- there's a ton of cool makeup artists out there using them for Valentine's looks. I would not wear this for Valentines. I feel that I usually go for soft looks on that day. Maybe this year will be different. Who knows? Hope you liked the look- catch ya laterz!

An Old Bright Look

This is a look I had completely forgotten about. I had not posted it up because I am not crazy about the lashes at all...I was just playing with makeup and was trying out my LASplash Splash Proof Sealer. It makes a huge difference- these colors do not look like that without it.

Problem was, since I was only playing makeup- I used an old mascara that was drying up. Can you tell?? LOL! Anyways- it was very bright. I like it except I can see how I can make it much better so that it could be wearable for me. The blue was Dirty Jeans by Glamour Doll Eyes. The purple was Glam Girl by Glamour Doll Eyes, and I used NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk in my waterline. I do not remember what the highlight was...but it was too frosty for this look. This was definitely very random- see ya till the next blog!

First Day Of School =-)

I wanted to wear something light/natural for my first day. I was somewhat in a hurry because I had a million things to do yesterday- but I had to do makeup! I also was very happy to find out that these colors looked perfect with the bronze liquid eyeliner. I loved it!

I used all Mark. eyeshadows starting with i-Mark in Heavenly on my lid, South Beach in my crease, and Whisper as my highlight. In the pictures it is a bit hard seeing the difference between the lid and the crease color- but notice- the lid is greener, the crease is bluer. If that helps... my pics yesterday weren't the best as usual lol.

The Wet 'N Wild Mega Liner in Brown definitely made my day yesterday with this look. I was determined to not give up on it- and I'm glad I didn't. School was busy, tiring, and long. Just as most first days are for me- since I have to run all over the place buying books, parking permits, and so forth. Let's hope today is less...(fingers crossed). Have a great day!
