Dramatic Purple, Red, & Black!

Hey everyone! As you might have seen- the last blog post was a look I did on my cousin and this is the other eye I did on her. I decided to do something dark and dramatic- something kind of gothy because I haven't done anything like this in such a long time. I used my 120 palette for all the colors except the glitter.

First off, I applied ELF Eyelid Primer over her entire eye and then NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk to get a good base. Then, I mixed two of the purples and applied them over her entire lid.  I also mixed two different reds to achieve the color that I used from her crease up. I went in very low into her inner corner with this red mix and blended it out to her outer brow as well. Then with another brush I filled in her crease with a black to add definition and a darker hue to the look.

With LA Splash Proof Sealer on her lid over the purple, I applied Bachelorette Eye Lights from Glamour Doll Eyes all over the lid. It is such a gorgeous glitter!!A super thin liquid liner that was winged and pointy in the inner corner, mascara, and some red and black on the lower lash line. I seriously loved this look! Plus- it's always fun playing makeup with my cousin- she's freakin awesome! Till next time!

My Rusty Heart

I did this look thinking something old and rusty. Does that make sense when you see it? Lol- well that was the intention and I think it worked out just fine.  My brows weren't the best...but I thought it looked it cool regardless.

I used the ELF Highlighter palette on my lid only- and used Psychopathia by Detrivore Cosmetics from my lid up to my brow bone, so the color pops more on my lid for that reason.  Then I used Raven from L'Oreal, which is just a black, in my crease to darken it up. I smudge my liner a bit under my eye- which I ended up rubbing some off before the pics lol. Wet 'N Wild Mega liner in black and Whisper by Mark as my highlighter.

I thought it deserved the name Rusty Heart. I loved the rusty kind of color that turned out, or at least it reminds me of it. Till next time!

Shimmery Blue W/A Cut Crease

This was done on the same night I did the other cut crease look on my blog. It was late!! I hadn't messed too much with blue shadows and so this was a perfect time to play makeup. I think more purple underneath would have looked better too. Or maybe a brighter purple?

I used NYX Jumbo Pencil all over and my Manly 120 palette for all the colors. I used the shimmery white on my lid, a very shimmery blue to cut the crease and fill it in, then a shimmery black color to define the crease some more.

This was fun. I hadn't done any looks with my crease cut higher in a long time and I loved the eyeshadow placement. I plan to keep trying this with other colors until I've perfected it. =-) Till next time!

Hemoglobin Ft. Detrivore Cosmetics

Hi everyone! The night me and my cousin hung out and unpackaged my Detrivore Cosmetics order- I ended up doing a fun 'gothy' look. I am in love with all the colors I have and can't wait to show them!! This though, is one of my favorites- Hemoglobin. It's a bright, but dark red and I used primer under and NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk on my lid to enhance the color.

I used one of the black colors from the 120 palette in my crease to darken up the look and Whisper by Mark. on my brow bone. Black pencil in my water line and under and I sweep a very light coat of Hemoglobin over it.

After that it was black liquid liner (I'm slowly running out) and mascara. I loved this color!!!! If I did go out at night I'd totally sport it but for day time I am definitely toning this down because I plan to use it!!

I had a lot of fun and again- will be posting up a video with the full review on all the colors I got from Detrivore Cosmetics. I really seriously am in love with the shadows and recommend you check them out! Video WILL be up this week. =-) Till then!

Treason & Psychopathia Featuring Detrivore Cosmetics

So-my cousin came to visit me yesterday and to give me a wedding gift (which was lovely) and I had just received my order of Detrivore Cosmetics. So... we opened it together and played makeup!! She actually did my makeup for me and this is what she came up with.

The color used on the lid, which was a peachy gold, is Treason and the red that went from the crease up was Psychopathia. She did use a flat black in my outer v from the 120 palette. As my highlight she used Whisper from Mark.  I definitely loved this look. I promised a review on these cosmetics and after playing with them last night- I'm ready to show them to you!

Thanks again to my cousin Michelle for doing my makeup and will be posting up that review soon!!
