Blue W/A Bit of Taupe

This was weird for me.  I was wearing khaki shorts and a blue shirt and wanted to somehow match my makeup. It's not bad, but not my favorite. I decided to share either way. The taupe on my lid was from the Mocha Latte palette from Avon.

The blue is from the Silver Starlet palette from Maybelline EyeStudio (the duos). The eyeliner, (which looks a lot cakier than I'd like) is the Wet 'N Wild Mega liner in Blue. The highlight was from the Mocha Latte palette as well. I really felt like it was a weird combination of colors on my eyes lol!

The mascara, well, another day of torture. I'm looking into Milani mascaras because my cousin recommended them. I just might pick one up this weekend... Till next time!!

Orange & Pink

I was originally going for a rose gold look to match the nails from last week, but ended up doing this instead. I used my Manly 120 palette for all the colors. ELF Primer first, then I used one of the frosty pinks on my lid.

There are only two very shiny golds and this one is the orangy one- it looks very orange once it's on than it does in the palette. I liked it! I hadn't done something like this so it was nice.  I used Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Liner Pencil in Pure White in my water line.

The highlight was the second white on the palette.  The lashes are not the best- I have days I can make this mascara work and days that I wish I would just throw it away. Why do I punish myself?? lol! Yes, you guessed it- it's the L'Oreal Voluminous False Lashes Mascara. I think I am slowly starting to hate it... Till next time!!!

Picture Craze!

If I have you on Facebook, you've already seen these. I wasn't going to post them- but I truly love this app. It makes pictures look so nice and I love the vintage-y look.  I have it on my Iphone and it's called Pixlromatic but I'm sure you can get it on Android too. I love checking out Pinterest and Instagram once in a while too so if you have one- leave your info below and I will follow you! My Pinterest is http://pinterest.com/iridescentcolor/ and on Instagram I'm @iridescentcolors.  I don't upload too much- I get on more to check out other people's pictures when I do. All these apps are pic crazy! They can be fun to use though, and although some people might think they ruin photos- I think they are fun to play with regardless.  Hope everyone had an awesome weekend. God knows I needed the weekend to rest!! Till next time!

My Rusty Heart

I did this look thinking something old and rusty. Does that make sense when you see it? Lol- well that was the intention and I think it worked out just fine.  My brows weren't the best...but I thought it looked it cool regardless.

I used the ELF Highlighter palette on my lid only- and used Psychopathia by Detrivore Cosmetics from my lid up to my brow bone, so the color pops more on my lid for that reason.  Then I used Raven from L'Oreal, which is just a black, in my crease to darken it up. I smudge my liner a bit under my eye- which I ended up rubbing some off before the pics lol. Wet 'N Wild Mega liner in black and Whisper by Mark as my highlighter.

I thought it deserved the name Rusty Heart. I loved the rusty kind of color that turned out, or at least it reminds me of it. Till next time!

Rose Gold Nails

Yesterday my hubby bought me the Sally Hanson Diamond Strength Jewel Overcoat polish in Ring-a-Ding! which is the polish on the top at the far right.  He also bought me the Wet 'N Wild Megalast nail color in Sugar Coat because I thought it would look nice under the Sally Hanson glitter one.  Plus I had been wanting to try out these new Wet 'N Wild polishes since they are supposed to have an awesome brush- and they do!

I did my nails and toe nails the same to match. I  used two coats of the Sugar Coat above and three coats of the Sally Hanson glitter polish.  I had somewhat of a hard time getting enough glitter on so it took that much. One thing I have to say about the Wet 'N Wild polish was that it is so translucent that I didn't like it much with only two coats but I didn't want to keep adding more.  It took three coats on my toe nails so that it didn't look so translucent. I plan to try another color next time, I'm not sure if it just happened because it's such a light color. But I liked it regardless.

Above I took a picture in the sun, and the other outside in natural light but without the sun hitting my nails.  I love the color of the flakes- it has rose gold, gold, and there seems to be a bit of silver here and there. LOVE!!!! Gold is my favorite color and rose gold right after...I am thinking of doing a look on my eyes to match this soon.

BTW: no, I didn't clean the edges before I took the pics lol- I was letting them dry completely. I get too excited to take pics with my nails that I never wait to entirely finish. Here I took a picture inside just to give you another angle in different lighting again. To me, it makes a big difference where and how you're looking at it. I did top it all off with one coat of Sally Hanson Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Clear. My toe nails look awesome with sandals now!! Hope you liked it- till next time!!

Feelin' Light

This week has been so stressful!! I cannot begin to explain how tired I am and how I have been so busy at school. The last three weeks  is when there is more pressure than ever! So I have neglected my face somewhat...

This was a very light makeup look I did today because I felt I hadn't done anything since Easter. I used ELF Primer all over lid, then Glamour Doll Eyes in Electric Lemonade from my crease to my brow bone. I also used Glamour Doll Eyes in Glam Girl in my crease and a tiny bit on my lower outer corner. Just to give the look some depth. Wet 'N Wild Mega Liner in Brown (I want new colors someday when I have time to go shopping again...) and L'Oreal Voluminous False Lashes mascara.

Super easy, super simple, and what I call a feelin' light look. =-) Hope you guys are doing great!! Till next time!

L'Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Review

This mascara was something I had been wanting because the ad in my Glamour magazine with Gwen Stefani made it look awesome. I really like L'Oreal to be honest but had not purchased any of their mascaras in ages.  It comes in a pretty golden tube too!  If you see the pic above- the brush drawn in the back (kinda bluish) looks nothing like the brush itself!! So disappointed with that to begin with...

Second, I do like the fact that it's a very black mascara and gives my lashes volume just as it promises through it's name. One coat does a lot, but not enough if you're going for really dark or bold. Third comment on the mascara- I do NOT like the clumps. I noticed it the very first time I used it. Not only am I not too crazy about the brush, but it clumps my lashes!! I hate mascaras that do that- but will keep using it because I refuse to give up on it after a week's use. It was pricier than what I usually buy and that was a downer for me.

Below you will see the brush itself.  Not too bad, but not my favorite. It clumps my lashes and doesn't give me too much definition. At least not in my opinion. Yes, you will see looks with it for some time to come... I'm not too happy about that but I ditched my old mascara and until I find another good drug store one that I haven't tried yet- this is mascara.  Hope this was helpful- till next time!

If I had to rate it- I'd give it a 6.5/10. Yup. Not my favorite.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all!  I know we all have very different religious views and some of us feel like its all about the Easter bunny, others about Jesus, and others just like spending time with the family. Whatever your views are about this day- I hope you had a great one!! On to the look! I have done this before- it's the Maybelline Spirited Seas palette but since I wore it today for Easter, I put it up- why not?

I used the Wet 'N Wild Mega Liner in Brown and my new mascara- which a review is coming up soon for... It's the L'Oreal Voluminous False Lashes Mascara in Extremely Black.  All of this over ELF Primer- no NYX this time! I was in somewhat of a hurry.

There are 4 colors in the palette- I used all except for the bronzy one. The highlight color on my brow bone, my inner lid and tear duct. Then the light blue in the middle of my lid and all over from crease to brow bone. Then the darkest blue in my outer corner, under, and in the crease alone. I love this palette! Till next time!!

A Quick Cover Girl Lip Perfection in Delish Review

I've had this lipstick going on a week and a half now and have used it...daily?? Yes- daily!! I'm in love... It's smooth, while it's on my lips it is creamy without a shiny finish- which matte is always nice if it doesn't dry up. One reason why I hardly use my Revlon Matte Lipsticks is because they are so drying- not this one!!

The color is the nicest nudish- peach on me. Not really peach, not really nude- just an in between and it's done such a beautiful job at it!! Will post up a look showing it on the next blog post. I have not tried any of the other colors, but this one has made me so happy since I'm so into natural lip colors and soft pinks.

Will I be buying again- YES!! It's so worth it. I paid about $6 for it and it has been worth every dollar. Plus- I like the packaging. It's nice and you get a preview of the color on the bottom part of it which helps a little (and makes it look cute) when picking out colors. Lasting power is what I consider normal- about 3-4 hours depending on what you eat/drink. On me, it stays creamy most of the time I have it on. So- love!! Till next time. =-)
